Visitor settings

Your configuration sets the defaults. Each visitor can then change their own view from the settings gear, and their choices are remembered in their browser.

Layout tab

Choose Dock, Panel or Theater. The selected layout expands to show only the settings that apply to it:

Dragging a slider fades the settings dialog so the change is visible live. The growth sliders preview on the first saved view.

Also on this tab: the nine-way position picker and visibility (drawer or always).

Motion tab

Pick an animation style: Elastic, Glide, Genie, or any preset your app registers. Visitors who prefer reduced motion always get a short crossfade.

Saved views tab

Lists every saved view with its status (on stage, live or snapshot), when it was saved, and buttons to open or remove it. It also holds:

• Collect pages as I browse: quietly keep the pages you leave.
• Snapshot previews: show a picture of frozen pages, or just their name.
• Live previews: turn off to keep every saved view as a lightweight snapshot.

About tab

Shows the Earmark version and limits. It only appears when your app allows it. See The About tab.

Where settings are kept

Visitor settings are stored in the browser's local storage under earmark:preferences. They never reach your server.
